This post is way overdue but I wanted to share all of the amazing birthday freebies I got this year just by signing up for different companies’ rewards programs! This is something that anyone can do and it doesn’t take up a lot of time. I suggest signing up for these programs now so that when your birthday rolls around, you can score some amazing birthday freebies too!
Some of the links I post may be affiliate links.
My birthday was in March and I really got some great deals! The things in the picture are just a few of the items I was able to get. I tried to save everything for one big picture but some of the stuff was just too delicious and I had to eat it right then.
Some of the things that aren’t pictured are:
Cookie cake slice from Great American Cookie Co.
Firehouse Sub sandwich
Mascara sample from Ulta
2 full sized Maybelline mascaras from CVS
and pastry from Panera
I got some of these things later in the week. I like the fact that a lot of the offers will be emailed to you at the beginning of your birthday week and last through the end of the week, if not for the whole month. This way you can treat yourself to freebies all week long instead of having to get everything all in one day.
I took some of the great offers that I got for free and really maximized them with sales and other coupons that I had. In the picture, I got the pretzel and the Cinnabon coffee (which was delicious!) all for free with the email offers. I didn’t have to do anything else for those.
I got a $5 Yes2You reward from Kohl’s for my birthday but I had also gotten a $5 coupon in the mail for a promotion for that week, so I had $10 to spend at Kohl’s, plus I used my Kohl’s charge to save an extra 20% off. That was another promo they had that week. I saw the cute aqua shirt in the picture on clearance for only $6 and I got a Real Techniques blending sponge for $6. After all the promos and coupons, I got both for free!
Now you might be wondering how I got all the Victoria’s Secret stuff for free. Well, when you are an Angel cardholder you get a $10 reward sent to you on your birthday month. Later that week, I got another mailer with a coupon for a free panty with any purchase. So I went to my local Victoria’s Secret store and saw that they were having a sale on their body care collection, it was 2 for $12. I bought a body wash and a scrub wash for $12, used the $10 off coupon for my birthday and the free panty coupon and only paid $2 for all 3 items. They weren’t totally free but close enough!
If you like that deal then you should really read my post showing how I got a year’s worth of underwear from Victoria’s Secret.
I also maximized my birthday offer at CVS. You get a $3 Extracare Buck for your birthday to spend in-store. They were having a great sale on some new Maybelline mascara that week. Since it was a new product there were also high value $3 off coupons I printed from Coupons.com. The mascaras were $6.99 each and when you bought 2, you would get a $5 Extracare Buck back. So after coupons, birthday offer, and the Extracare buck I got back they were both free!
There were a bunch of other offers I got in my email but I didn’t have time to take advantage of them all. When you do sign up for the birthday offers, make sure you really look at what is on sale and to see how you can use that to really score some amazing birthday freebies.
