I have been following the Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion diet book for 4 weeks now and wanted to share what I thought of the program so far.

So far the Always Eat After 7PM program has been going really well. It has been easy to follow along with the meal plans and it gives me a lot of different varieties to choose from. I still get to eat desserts!! Plus, there are plenty of healthy carbs that you are supposed to eat in this diet program, too!

I would be very crabby if I didn’t get to eat carbs!
The only part that I haven’t really been able to stick to is the lemon water or black coffee in the mornings. I have to drink my coffee like normal, that is just one thing that I can’t give up.
Other than that, I have noticed how eating a lot cleaner has really impacted my overall energy levels. My other goal was to lower my cholesterol. I won’t know if the diet has had an impact on that until my next doctor’s appointment.
I also like the fact that I can eat late at night with this program. That is when I like to do my snacking, I’ve never been a big breakfast eater so this works for me.
The most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry.
At the end of this month long journey so far, I did get some exciting news….I’m expecting baby #2!!
This will put a damper on the diet, it is not recommended to do if you are pregnant. I will continue to use the food lists though because they are full of healthy options that I should be eating anyway. Plus, it’s full of healthy and delicious recipes that I can’t wait to try more of.
Once the baby arrives and I finish nursing, I don’t see any reason why I won’t start sticking to the diet program again.
I wouldn’t consider this a “diet”, it’s more of a lifestyle change that you can keep doing to stay healthy and strong. That is going to be very important with a new baby to run around after!
