I wanted to give a little update on how it has been going since I started Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. You can see my first post here and week #2 post here.
This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.
My ultimate goal is to just improve my overall nutrition and be able to have more energy. I have been diagnosed with high cholesterol so I am hoping to decrease that as well.
So far the diet program has been going well. I love that there is so much variety in the foods that I get to choose from.
“Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.”
The hardest thing for me has been in the mornings. You can drink hot lemon water or plain black coffee with this diet program. I have to have sugar and creamer in my coffee in the mornings so I will be honest and say that I am not sticking with that change.
I just can’t drink plain black coffee and I need that jolt of energy in the morning to get me going.
What has made sticking to the rest of the diet program so much easier is that there is a meal plan and food lists already made for you in the book. It tells you exactly what to eat and when.
There is no measuring food out to make sure you have the right portion size, it tells you exactly how much of each food item to prepare.
There is even a whole chapter full of delicious and healthy recipes you can try, including desserts!! These No Bake Salted Caramel Bars look delicious! I can’t wait to make them.
I have tried the BBQ Carnitas Lettuce Tacos and they were so good and so easy to make. I did miss not having an actual taco shell but the lettuce “shell” gave it a nice crunch.
That is the only recipe I have tried from the book so far but there are many more I can’t wait to make. There are over 70 different ones.
I will say that I do seem to have an increase in my energy levels. I don’t feel as dragged down in the afternoons like I did before the diet. So I think I am seeing a little bit of an improvement.
