I’ll be honest, I don’t listen to a lot of Christian music – I’m more of a Top 40 girl – but when I was asked if I’d like to review Mallary Hope’s debut album, I decided to give it a listen.
Out of My Hands Album Review
It is very much a Christian album, it speaks a lot about God and faith. Some Christian songs leave it open to interpretation but Mallary’s songs are very much to the point about what she is talking about.
I found her songs to be very uplifting and encouraging. This is definitely an album that you will want to listen to on bad days to get you back on track!
Her voice has a country sound to it and most of the songs are mid-tempo so if that’s your thing, you’ll love her sound.
Here are all of the songs that are on the Out of my Hands Album:
- You Will Make a Way
- Looking Back at Me
- 3:16
- Pray with You
- Walking with the Light
- Me
- Out of My Hands
- Lay It Down
- Love More
- Home to the Water
- Now
- My Love
- My God
- Yours
- Saving Me
- Lay it Down (Acoustic)
- My God (Radio Version)
As you can see, there are a lot of songs to fall in love with on this album.
I have three favorite songs that really spoke to me: “Me”, “Looking Back at Me”, and “Love More.”
“Me” is the first single off of the Out of My Hands album. It speaks about loving yourself for you and accepting who you are.
We all could be better at something. Stop focusing on your weaknesses and know that God loves you for you.

The second song I love, “Looking Back at Me” almost had me in tears the first time I listened to it.
I struggled with confidence as a child and looking back I wish I could tell that little girl that she is good enough. As kids we just don’t understand that it’s not the end of the world and things will get better.
This song talks about going back and telling your younger self that you will learn from the pain and everything has a purpose.
She even speaks of having her own little girl and how she is telling her what she wished she could have told herself. I love it!
The third song I really like was ” Love More”. You can guess from the title what it is about. To spread more love and not hate. The whole world really needs to listen to that song right now!
Overall, I really like Mallary’s “Out of My Hands” album. I have been listening to it for a couple of weeks and it really helps remind me to stop and look at the good things in life.
You can purchase a copy of Mallary Hope’s new album on April 26th.
