After being sick and miserable for days or weeks, the last thing you want to do is to clean your house. There are some tricks to quickly disinfect your home after an illness so that you can stay healthy without spending hours scrubbing.

My daughter recently had a cold. I barely had time to keep things clean while also taking care of her and making sure she was as comfortable as possible.
I didn’t want the rest of my family, or myself, to get sick so I made sure I disinfected my house as quickly as possible.
Quickly Spray Surfaces
I like to always have cleaning supplies on hand but sometimes when I need them the most, they aren’t in my cabinets! Since I needed some quickly, I ordered the PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant from Amazon.com since I am a Prime member and can get 2-day shipping.
You can actually score 20% off the disinfectant and cleaner when you shop on Amazon.com
Ordering my supplies online was a great option because I did not want to have to run to the store with a sick 3 year old!
I like using PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant to spray down all of the surfaces in my kitchen and bathrooms to kill 99.99% of germs, it can even be used on soft surfaces like the couch and pillows to kill germs there, too!
I love that it doesn’t use any harsh chemicals and is worry-free around my daughter and 2 dogs. I simply spray the areas I want to clean and disinfect, no rinsing required.
Wash Linens
It is best to wash any blankets, sheets, comforters, etc. that have been used when you were sick. I like to quickly throw everything into the washer and clean them in hot water to kill any germs or bacteria that may be on them.
Once they are dry, you can quickly spray them with PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant to kill anything that may be lingering.
Change Toothbrush
I always throw away my toothbrush after I am sick. You do have the option to clean it but I just like to be on the safe side and buy a new one.
Disinfect Remotes, Light Switches, etc.
You want to make sure that you disinfect and clean anything that has been touched by someone that was sick.
I like to spray any remotes, light switches, door handles, drawer knobs, tablets, and even phones with PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant. I don’t have to worry about rinsing with water, just spray and go. Plus, there is no harsh bleach or fumes you have to worry about touching.
Disinfect Toys
When your child is sick it is important to disinfect and clean their toys. I have a full list of toy cleaning tips and tricks that you can use but for a quick way to disinfect and clean, I will just spray everything with PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant.
I can use it on her dolls, stuffed animals, and even bath toys. I love that it is safe to use everywhere in my home.
Doing all of these tips only took me about 20 minutes. I was able to disinfect my home and get back to cuddling on the couch with my sick little girl.
I was able to quickly disinfect my home while she was sick and again right after to make sure all of the germs were killed.
If you want to grab some PURELL® Multi Surface Disinfectant you can find it at Amazon.com, Jet.com and Walmart.com as well as in store at H-E-B and Publix. It will soon be available in store at Shop Rite and Wakefern Food Corporation.
