Trick Yourself into Loving your Workout

October 2, 2017 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

Are you the type of person who has to trick yourself into loving your workout? Let’s face it, some people seem to have a gene that makes them love working out. I never really understood those people until I started consistently getting in a daily workout.

I have actually made myself look forward to working out and I was a certified couch potato! My health is better, I have lost weight, and I have more energy to keep up with my little one.

Learn to love your workouts and get in your daily exercise with some fitness motivation. Lose weight and get inspiration for the healthy life and body that you have dreamed of.

I wanted to share some ways that you can actually trick yourself into loving your workout so that you won’t dread just the idea of it.

For some people, they may just need a little workout motivation but for the rest of us, we actually have to change the way we think or view just the idea of exercise.

Trick Yourself into Loving your Workout

Do Something you Love Already

I hate running! I am not good at it and it is just boring to me, so I don’t run to get in my workout. I personally love to dance, so that is what I do to get in a cardio workout.

When you do an activity that you love, you will be more inclined to look forward to it and actually stick with it.

There are so many ways to get in a workout without killing yourself at the gym: ride a bike, go hiking, rock climbing, swimming, kickboxing, sports, etc.

Find an activity that you already enjoy doing and see how you can fit it into a daily workout.

Since I enjoy dancing, I do dancing workout programs like Hip Hop Abs and Cize. To me it’s fun and it doesn’t even feel like I am working out.

How to Get Healthy when you’re Crazy Busy

Focus on the Instant Perks

To make myself want to workout, I remember how I feel after I have finished my workout. I feel good about myself, energized, stronger, and ready to tackle the day.

I do try and think about fitting into my skinny jeans this fall but that can seem too far in the future. Focus on what you feel that day and how you have made a healthy choice for yourself.

Love your Workout Even More

Money, Honey

For some people, money can be a big motivator to get out of bed. You can actually get paid to workout and not only get healthy but get some money out of it as well.

I know that if I can make money just by doing a workout, then I am going to look forward to my workout and not skip a day.

Another big thing for me, is that I don’t want to lose money. So if I pay for a gym membership or my membership to Beachbody on Demand, I am going to use it. I hate wasting money!

Look at Exercise as “Me Time”

As a busy mom, I know how hard it is to get any kind of “me time”. I have a three year old who wants my constant attention. I love being with her but sometimes mommy needs some time alone.

I view my workouts as a guilt-free way of having some quiet time. I am taking care of myself so that is also benefiting my family; when mom is happy, everyone is happy!

You can do some yoga, go for a run or a walk, just do something that makes you relaxed or happy.

Just by changing the way we view exercise, you can love your workout and actually look forward to it as an enjoyable part of your day.

Just take it easy when you start out and don’t push yourself too hard. When you do that, you can easily get discouraged. Go at your own pace and good habits will form before you know it!

Learn to love your workouts and get in your daily exercise with some fitness motivation. Lose weight and get inspiration for the healthy life and body that you have dreamed of.
