My daughter received some Play-Doh for the first time this Christmas. She loves it but it can make cleaning difficult, especially when you have to get Play-Doh out of carpet!
She is only allowed to play with her Play-Doh sets on her little table but it still ends up everywhere! Our house is mostly carpet so it can get ground into our floors quite easily.

I thought getting Play-Doh out of carpet was going to be a headache and require some kind of special cleaning solution but it really isn’t that bad.
All you really need is a good sturdy scrub brush and maybe some soap.
As you can see above, she got some of her green Play-Doh really stuck to the carpet. I vacuumed over the area really well to get up as much of it as I could.
It’s best to make sure the Play-Doh is completely dry before you start cleaning. Then take the scrub brush and go back and forth over the spot until it’s loose. I did have to use my nails to help pull the parts that were deep into the carpet.
It actually came out really easily and I just vacuumed it right up.
I was able to get up the green and orange Play-Doh spots that were on the carpet. I didn’t have any problems with it leaving a stain.
Some colors may leave a slight stain though. You can just take some warm water with some clear dish soap and wipe up the stain.
You could also try a stain remover if you have that on hand.
I was expecting it to take a lot longer to clean the Play-Doh out of carpet, but this only took a few seconds!
