Since my daughter is 2, the rocking chair in her nursery has become our reading chair. It is where we snuggle up under a blanket and read her bedtime stories, it’s one of my favorite parts of the day.

Unfortunately, the chair is microfiber and gets dirty very easily. I needed a quick, easy, and affordable way to clean microfiber furniture. She actually got a stomach bug the other night and the chair became an unfortunate victim.
There may be some cleaning solutions that you can buy from the store that are just for cleaning microfiber but I have found a simple way to keep my microfiber rocking chair clean.
All you need is a spray bottle, microfiber cloth, and some rubbing alcohol.
I just spray the alcohol onto the areas that need cleaning and then dab up the excess moisture. I like to rub the area in little circular motions to really get the spots out. Don’t rub too hard though because that might mess up the fabric.
The fabric may get a little stiff after it has dried so you can take a soft scrubbing sponge and rub it over the area. This will help fluff up the fabric and make it soft again.

I had quite a few spots on my chair and this method cleaned them right up. The chair is white so it can be a pain to keep clean but using the alcohol makes it very easy.
Just make sure that you crack a window when you are cleaning because the room will smell like alcohol for a little while until it dries.
That’s really all there is to it. I think it is a very affordable way to clean microfiber and keep things looking great. I hope to have this chair for as long as she will let me read her bedtime stories. That time will fly by too fast!

Wow, this is amazing! We recently hired professional upholstery cleaners to deep clean our couch and it looks so much better! I don’t want to splurge on getting our chairs cleaned too, so I will definitely be trying your tips out!.Thanks for sharing!
