Easy and Affordable Fall Centerpiece

November 1, 2016 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

The holiday seasons can be crazy, not only with all the shopping and planning but also with visiting guests and hosting duties. I love when I can find easy and affordable ways to make my home beautiful and inviting to my out of town family and friends. I created this beautiful fall centerpiece to add some warmth to our Thanksgiving table.

I had seen some gorgeous centerpiece ideas online but they were so expensive! I knew that with a little creativity, I could make one very similar to what I saw for a lot less. I was able to put this fall centerpiece together for only $8! I think it turned out gorgeous and it will be a lovely focal point for all the fall and Thanksgiving dinners that we will be having.

I found everything I needed at Dollar General. I knew they had some holiday decor and the prices are great. Not to mention that it is only 5 minutes from my house! Everything I purchased was from the Dollar General brand.

I found a really pretty gold platter that was in the Christmas decor section for only $2, I thought that would be a very pretty base for my centerpiece. I then found a bunch of pumpkin and pine cone decor that was only $3.50.

I wanted some tall candles for the center but all I could find were the smaller size in the colors I wanted. I got a pumpkin scented candle as well as an apple cinnamon that will really make my home smell like fall has arrived. They were only $1 each! You can find these products and more at your local Dollar General

For the leaves, I just went to my front yard and found some of the prettiest red and orange leaves that had fallen from our trees. My daughter loved this part! She had so much fun looking for pretty leaves for us to use.

If you want to really make this centerpiece last, you may want to buy some fake leaves, ours only lasted a couple of days which was long enough for me. If you want to use real leaves, just grab some the day of your dinner party.

Arrange everything the way you want and you have a gorgeous fall centerpiece for your table. I will probably put this on a clear cake stand while we are eating so that it doesn’t take up much room on the table. You have to have room for all of that delicious food!

I am so glad I was able to find everything I needed at Dollar General. It was a one stop shop so it saved me time as well as money. They already had some really cute Christmas decor displayed. I can’t wait to go back and see what I can create for Christmas!
