We have a tradition in my family where we buy a new special ornament every year to put on the tree. I will continue that tradition with my daughter but I thought it would be fun to also make a new ornament each year. I found some adorable ideas for DIY kid’s Christmas ornaments that we might try to make.

Most of these are very inexpensive to make and they turned out amazing! Don’t forget to put the date on each one so that you will remember how old they were when they made it. These are such great keepsakes.
To make it easy, here are some products you might want to have on hand to make these:
I made this hand print reindeer ornament last year with my daughter. It turned out really cute and wasn’t too difficult to make. You can do this with either paint or a Sharpie.
If you don’t want to deal with the whole hand, you can make this fingerprint ornament. I think this is really cute and great for younger kids to help make.
For a lot of people, wine and the holidays go hand in hand. Don’t throw out the corks! You can turn them into this really cute cork reindeer ornament.
I really want to make these this year with my little girl. What a great keepsake! You can get the full tutorial here.
Forget the kids, I know a lot of adults who would want these on their tree, myself included. These Harry Potter ornaments are awesome and they even have free printables you can use for them.
This melted snowman ornament is very easy to make. I know the kids would love pouring in the different pieces.
These melted crayon ornaments turned out really pretty. They are great for older kids to make and perfect for using up old broken crayons. I know we all have them laying around the house :).
These would be a hit at my house. My daughter loves Frozen! These Frozen ornaments turned out great and they aren’t hard to make at all.
I just love these wood snowman ornaments. They turned out really cute. You can give them all different kinds of silly faces that the kids would love.
I love a good photo ornament and you can make these with washi tape. She uses a lot of supplies that I wouldn’t have on hand but you can cut them out with just some scissors instead of using a punch out.
I can’t wait to try all of these out over the next few years. What are some fun ornaments you have made with your kids? I’d love to hear your ideas for some DIY kid’s Christmas ornaments.
