My house is not very large so storage and organizing can be a struggle. I know that a lot of people are looking for space saving decor and ideas for their small homes or apartments. We all know how great vacuum bags and over the door hangers are but what about things that actually add character to your home?

I was doing some searching online for my own home and came across some really neat items that I would love to have. I thought, why not share my findings with my readers? I’m sure they have space and storage problems just like I do.
I found some really pretty items that not only save you space but also add some charm to your decor. I would love to have any of these if anybody wants to get me something for Christmas 😉 .
I loved this banana hanger tool set because it really does double duty. I never have a good place to hang my bananas besides placing them on the counter and my drawer is full of cooking utensils, so full that it sometimes won’t even close. This would fix both of my problems.
I think these Step and Store stools are adorable! They would be perfect for a nursery or child’s bathroom. You can personalize them with your child’s name. They offer a storage compartment under the top step that would be great for washcloths, training pants, or anything else you could think of.
Who else has a disorganized closet? I love these Wonder hangers because they will add so much more closet space for your clothes. You can even use them to hang belts, scarves, and ties. Hang things by season to really help you stay organized.
I don’t know anything that takes up more space on my kitchen counters than my coffee maker. My kitchen is small so counter space is precious. I really need to get a space saving coffee maker like this one.
I have two dogs so I need a powerful vacuum but something that isn’t clunky and takes up my entire closet. I love this Dyson cord free vacuum. It has the power I need without all of the bulk. It even comes with a wall mount so you can store it wherever you have the space.
Another thing that takes up precious counter space is a bulky spice rack. I saw these magnetic spice jars and fell in love! They are very modern and chic while also saving space! You can hang them on a magnetic bar on the wall or store them on your fridge.
I love storage ottomans! They provide extra seating when you have guests over and extra storage space. I have one in my living room that we use to store all of our blankets. They have so many fun and colorful ones now that can really add some charm to your room.
Any easy way to create more space in a small room is by adding a tiered side table. You can use the different levels to display books, photos, plants, etc. Round tables are perfect to fit in small corners.
Knife blocks are so bulky and won’t fit on a small counter. I love the idea of using a knife strip to store your kitchen knives. You just hang it on the wall and your knives stay in place. This makes it very convenient to find exactly which knife you need.
If you have a small entryway, you probably don’t have room for those beautiful organizing benches. I like using baskets that stack vertically for storage of shoes, backpacks, and winter accessories. This 5 drawer tower is a good option for small spaces.
If you need some more storage for toys or books in a child’s room, these over the door shelves are a perfect option. They are cute and super affordable. I love using over the door storage. It gives me so much extra space in every room.
I love things that are collapsible! How often do you really need a bucket? Maybe a few times a year? They take up so much space! I really like this collapsible bucket that would be easy to store. The same goes with colanders. I love them but they take up so much room under my counters. I use a collapsible colander to save so much storage space.
