I love getting new makeup and I have had my eye on the Urban Decay Naked eye shadow palettes for a while but I can’t justify paying almost $60 for eye shadow! I have found some great Urban Decay dupes to help me get the look I want while still paying a reasonable price.
I love being able to save money on makeup!

Some of these Urban Decay dupes are almost identical and some people think they are even better than the Urban Decay brand.
It all comes down to personal preference but these dupes are really affordable so you can try them out without worrying about wasting any money.
Remember that most makeup and drugstores will allow you to return a cosmetic item if it isn’t what you expected. Just make sure to read their return policy.
I’m going to start off with the Naked palettes since those are the most popular Urban Decay items. The best dupe I have found for the Naked palette is the NYC Lovatics by Demi palette. They have very similar shades and you can recreate most looks that you get with the Naked palette.
There are more matte colors in the Lovatics palette and it does have more fall out when you apply the shadows. I’ve seen many Youtube videos where people do side by side looks using these palettes and they look identical when you put them on.
Overall, it is a great option if you can’t afford the Naked palette. The Naked palette is $54 and the Lovatics palette is only $6-$7. So that is a savings of $47.

If you are a fan of the Naked 2 palette but not a fan of the price, you should try the W7 In the Buff palette. The shades are very similar and you can create many of the same looks as the Naked 2 palette.
The Naked 2 shadows are slightly more pigmented and are more creamy so they are easier to blend. The differences are pretty minimal for there to be such a huge price difference as to the way they look on your skin. If you are looking for a cheaper option, this is a winner. The Naked 2 is $54 while the W7 is less than $9 for a savings of $45.
I love the colors in the Naked 3 palette so I was glad when I came across Makeup Revolution Iconic 3. The colors are nearly identical when swatched on your skin. The Naked 3 colors are only slightly more metallic but it’s not that much of a difference.
The Naked shadows are also slightly more creamy and they tend to last longer than the Iconic 3 shadows. The Iconic 3 shadows still last 8-10 hours so it really isn’t that big of a difference.
I think it’s a great option to the Naked 3 palette. The Naked 3 costs $54 and the Iconic 3 costs $7 for a savings of $47
Another popular Urban Decay palette is the Naked Ultimate Basics. A very similar product is the Hard Candy Birthday Suit palette. The Ultimate Basics has 12 colors compared to the 10 in the Birthday Suit so there are 2 colors that you can’t dupe.
Both palettes have all matte colors and they have great pigmentation but the Birthday Suit shadows have a more firm texture compared to the creamy texture of the Urban Decay palette.
The Ultimate Basics is $54 while the Birthday Suit is only $6 so it is worth trying out to see how they compare.
Both make it easier to apply your eyeshadow and make it last. The Potion Primer does give more intensity to your shadow color but that won’t really make a difference if you are using high pigmented shadows. The Shadow Lock seems to be thinner and that makes blending the shadow a lot easier.
If you are looking for a cheaper option for the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, you should check out the L’Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray. They are both very similar and they really keep your makeup in place for at least 8 hours.
If you are going to be sweating a lot or going to the gym, Urban Decay is better but if you are just having a typical day at work or running errands, save your money and use the L’Oreal.
L’Oreal and Urban Decay are actually owned by the same company so that’s probably why they are so similar.
Urban Decay spray is $30 while the L’Oreal Infallible is around $10.
The Urban Decay Perversion mascara is very popular but very expensive as far as mascaras go. I think a great dupe is the Maybelline Full n’ Soft mascara. They both give you long and full lashes without being clumpy or brittle. You get soft, long, and full lashes with both of these mascaras.
The perversion is $22 for the full size while the Maybelline is only $7 for a savings of $15!
They both offer medium coverage without feeling heavy on your skin. The only difference I’ve found is the staying power. The Urban Decay seems to last longer but you can use some setting powder to make the L’Oreal last just as long.
The Naked Skin costs $40 while the True Match only costs about $12 for a savings of $28!
Both are very pigmented and blend very easily to give you great coverage. The Naked Skin is $28 while the LA Girl is only $5 for a savings of $23!
They both go on smoothly and have staying power. The Urban Decay pencil does dry quicker and lasts longer if you use it on your waterline compared to the NYX.
The Urban Decay pencil costs $20 while the NYX is around $7 for a savings of $13.
Lastly is the concealer. A good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.
The formulas are very similar in consistency and offer great coverage. You can build them up without it caking. The Urban decay seems to be more hydrating while the Maybelline actually stays on longer.
The Naked Skin costs $28 while the Fit Me costs around $6 for a savings of $22!
Some high end beauty products are worth the splurge but I like to find affordable options when I can.
I’m sure not all of these Urban Decay dupes will work for everyone, it will depend on your skin tone and what you are wanting out of the product, but it is a good place to start if you are looking for cheaper options.
