I had read the baby books and I thought I had prepared myself to expect all the pregnancy symptoms. I was wrong! There was one symptom that caught me off guard when I was pregnant with my daughter, light bladder leakage!
This is a sponsored post brought to you by Poise and Mom It Forward.
Don’t get me wrong, I knew that I would be going to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes in my third trimester but I didn’t know that I might not be able to control my bladder like I was used to.
I’ll never forget that I was in my second trimester and I wanted to go see the new Thor movie that was released. My fiance and I are big Marvel fans! I wanted to see it while I could still sit through an entire movie without having to go to the bathroom 10 times.
We were sitting there enjoying the movie when there was a funny scene and I laughed pretty hard. Hard enough that I peed my pants a little. It wasn’t very noticeable but I noticed it and I couldn’t believe that happened!
Enough embarrassing things had happened to me when I was pregnant that my fiance and I just rolled with it at this point. I did have a light jacket that I always take to the movies in case it is cold so I just wrapped that around my waist when it was time to go.
Since I had my baby, I don’t experience light bladder leakage too often thank goodness! I do know that a lot of women do, 1 in 3 to be exact.
It is nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to the best of us. You can help keep yourself dry and protected with the right pads. Period pads can be too bulky and panty liners don’t offer enough absorbency.
Poise Thin-Shape pads offer the protection and flexibility that most women need. You can experience light bladder leakage from exercising, sneezing, coughing, and yes, laughing so it is good to be prepared by having some on hand.
Poise also provides 3-in-1 protection for dryness comfort and odor control. They even have Thin-Flex Technology that moves with your body. They are also 40 percent thinner than original Poise brand pads and stay three times drier than leading period pads, so you hardly notice when you are wearing one.
The Poise brand teamed up with Brooke Burke-Charvet to help educate women about LBL and empower them to seize their Poise moment – that exact point where they stop letting leaks interrupt their lives and reach for products, like Poise Thin-Shape Light Absorbency pads.
I know that I didn’t exactly feel like I had a Poise moment in that theater. Next time I will be better prepared and I can laugh as hard as I want to. I’ll feel poised and confident!
When is a time you wish you had Poise pads so that you could have had a Poise moment? Was it when you were pregnant, after being pregnant, or exercising?
