Stride Rite Money Saving Hacks

March 2, 2016 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

I love the Stride Rite brand and it is one of the only shoe brands I buy for my daughter. You just can’t beat the quality and comfort. They are a bit pricey so I use some Stride Rite money saving hacks to get the most for my money. Our kids grow so fast that it is hard to spend $40-$50 on a pair of shoes they are only going to wear for a few months.

I can always tell the difference in my daughter’s walk when she wears Stride Rite compared to a cheaper brand. They are just great for babies and toddlers that are learning to walk and provide the comfort and support that their little feet need. These are some of the ways I can find great deals on the Stride Rite brand so that I can give her quality (and adorable) footwear without spending a fortune.

Shop Online: You can find the best sale and clearance selection on the Stride Rite website versus shopping in store. Sign up for the Stride Rite Rewards program, it’s free, and you will get free shipping on your online orders. You will also get $10 every time you spend $75, get exclusive offers, and a private sale date. You can sign up online and there is an app that you can download on your phone if that is more convenient. They also offer a 10% discount for military personnel. You will have to show a valid ID.

Zulily: You may want to check out Zulily for brand new Stride Rite shoes at a great discount. They offer a few different styles for over 50% off. The inventory does change since this is a deal site. Just do a quick search on their site for “Stride Rite” and it should bring up what they have available.

Kohl’s: Kohl’s carries quite a few styles of Stride Rite shoes but they don’t carry half sizes. They are similar in price to a Stride Rite store, but Kohl’s offers so many promos and discounts you can use at checkout. They usually always have at least a 20-30% off coupon or promo code. Plus, you can sign up for their Yes2You Rewards and earn $5 for every $100 you spend ( They actually just sent me a $5 reward since it is my birthday month, too). You can also earn $10 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 you spend (depending on if they offer this promo when you shop). Just check out their homepage for the latest deals and discounts.

Target: Target actually carries Surprize by Stride Rite shoes. I am guessing they are a cheaper Stride Rite shoe but I honestly can’t tell the difference in quality or comfort. I have bought about 5 pairs of Surprize shoes and boots (pic above) for my daughter and they hold up really well. She has never worn any out and the quality is fantastic!

Target has a bunch of cute styles and the most expensive is $27.99. If you are a RedCard holder you will get another 5% off and free shipping. I also created my baby registry with Target about 2 1/2 years ago and I still get great coupons in the mail. Once a month I will usually get some baby coupons and they include a $5 off $25 baby or toddler apparel/shoe coupon. Plus, always check the Cartwheel app to see if there are any extra savings you can include.

Always Shop Through Ebates: No matter where you decide to purchase your Stride Rite shoes, always shop through Ebates if you are going to make a purchase online. You will save even more on top of the discounts you will take during checkout. You will get cashback from the following: Target (2%), Kohl’s (3-6%) Stride Rite (4.5%). The percentage will vary depending on if they are offering double cash back but I’ve listed the current rate as of 3/2/16.

Plus, if you are a new Ebates member, you will get a $10 bonus when you make a purchase of $25 or more during your first 90 days of signing up. So that’s another $10 back!

ThredUP: If you don’t like bothering with deals and coupons, you can always check out ThredUP for some gently used Stride Rite shoes. Some of them even still have the tags on! They currently have some dress shoes for only $7.99! Keep in mind that sizes will vary and they always get new items in all the time so keep checking back.

I have ordered several things from ThredUP and I honestly can’t tell that they have been worn. They only sell very gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. Plus, if you are a new member and sign up through this link, you will get a $10 credit to use on your first order!

These are just the Stride Rite money saving hacks that I like to use and see the most success with. Just choose what works for you and your budget. Watch for the sales and remember that kids grow so fast you don’t need to spend a ton on their clothes and shoes. Let me know if you have been able to score a great deal on Stride Rite shoes.
