Makeup brushes can be really expensive! I just can’t afford to pay over $100 for a brush set. That’s ridiculous! I found some great makeup brushes for your budget. They have awesome reviews and, most importantly, are affordable!
I love being able to save money on makeup and other beauty products!
I was looking around on Sephora and found that the high end brands are charging anywhere from $60-over $200 for makeup brushes! I need something that is going to get the job done and done well without spending a ton of money on these brushes. I have read all the reviews on the following brush sets and they seem like real winners!
Sonia Kashuk
One of the prettiest makeup brush sets I have found are from the Sonia Kashuk collection at Target. I really like the Grand Bazaar Hidden Treasure Chubby Brush Set. It includes a powder brush, small eye shadow brush, concealer brush, crease brush and smudge brush as well as a carrying bag. It is $19.99 on Target.com but I have seen a set on clearance in my store for under $14. Plus, if you use your Target Redcard, you will save another 5% and get free shipping.
There are a bunch of other Sonia Kashuk brushes available, they are all very stylish and affordable. I find that it is cheaper to buy a set instead of buying the brushes individually.
Ecotools
I really like the Ecotools makeup brushes. I have a few and they have held up really well and give a smooth finish. I found the Ecotools Cosmetics Lovely Looks Brush Set at Target for only $14.99! It includes: Eyeliner Brush, Powder Brush, Concealer brush, Eyeshadow brush, and Blush brush. Pretty much everything that you need especially if you are starting out.
The brushes have incredibly soft, cruelty-free bristles and artist-designed, colorful floral ferrules. There are a bunch of other Ecotools brushes available if you want to buy them individually. They range from $5-$10 which is still a great price.
e.l.f.
One of my favorite budget makeup brands is e.l.f. I have loved everything I’ve bought from them so far: eyeshadow, face primer, and brushes. They have real quality products at amazing prices. I love the 11 piece brush collection. It includes: Case, Eyeshadow “C” Brush, Complexion Brush, Small Angled Brush, Small Smudge Brush, Fan Brush, Powder Brush, Angled Foundation Brush, Concealer Brush, Small Precision Brush, Blush Brush and Contouring Brush.
It comes in black or there is a limited edition sliver set to choose from as well. The set is $30 which makes each brush only $2.72! You can find them at Target or the e.l.f. website. I like ordering through e.l.f. because they usually offer up a free gift with your order. They also offer individual brushes for only $1-$6. They have a ton of 5 star reviews!
BH Cosmetics
Another good budget beauty brand is BH Cosmetics. They have some great styles to choose from but I personally love the Pink-a-dot Brush Set. It is currently $23.99 on Amazon. It has over 108 reviews, mostly 4 and 5 stars. The set includes: deluxe fan brush, powder brush, angled blush brush, classic foundation brush, tapered shadow blending brush, classic shadow brush, flat eyeliner brush, angled shadow brush, small smudge brush, tapered eyeliner brush and Lip brush. It comes with its own adorable matching cylindrical hard case that snaps up for quick travel.
Real Techniques
The top budget brand, in my opinion is Real Techniques. The starter set has over 1,000 reviews with mostly 4 and 5 stars. It is only $11.87 and includes: base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, accent brush, fine liner brush, and brow brush. Everything you need for your eyes!
If you need a face set, I would recommend the Core Collection. It has over 2,000 great reviews and is only $11.79 for 4 brushes!
I know this isn’t a brush but Beauty Blenders are really popular right now. They are $20 and that can get pricey when you are supposed to replace them every 3-4 months. It seems like the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is a good dupe. Some reviewers say that it is even better! The price is a lot better at $7.95! If you don’t want to shell out for the original Beauty Blender, this sounds like a much better option.
If you have found any other great makeup brushes for your budget, please let me know what has worked great for you. I love trying new products but I have to watch what I spend. Don’t we all?

I bought a set from Groupon by Makeup Forever. It was my second set. The quality is really good and gets the job done. I gifted the 1st set to my sister. It has 24 brushes and a roll-in bag. I bought the 1st set for $24 and the 2nd one was for $15.00. It’s really great.

That’s a great deal! I bought a set from Groupon before and I was very pleased with them. I completely forgot to add that as an option in my list, thanks for reminding me 🙂

Sooo many pretty brushes! I want the polka dot and the purple ones! Even though I have IT Cosmetics makeup brushes and love them. You can never have too many right?
