OK ladies, this post is for you. You know that it is inevitable, that dreaded time of the month! It can be a hard time to be a woman but that doesn’t mean that we have to let it get us down. As a busy mom, I can’t let my period put my life on hold. I have a blog to run and a very active toddler to take care of. That is why I always have a period preparedness kit on standby.

My period preparedness kit has everything I need to get through that time of the month. It has everything I need to relax and pamper myself a little bit. When you are on your period, you don’t feel very good much less pretty, so this helps give me a little confidence boost and be my normal self again.

In my kit, I have my absolute necessity, menstrual relief medicine. It really helps me feel a lot better. I also have either a style or gossip magazine. I don’t really want to read something with a lot of sustenance, my brain isn’t up for that during my period. I just want a light read that is fun and let’s me see all the cute clothes I can’t afford :).

I also like to have some things to munch on. I think every woman craves chocolate during her period. Chocolate just makes everything better! My favorite is Kit Kats. I love the mini versions. That way I can just grab a couple and not scarf down a whole candy bar. I also like to have a salty snack, too. Peanuts are a great snack, they are healthy and full of protein. They really hit the spot.

I do treat myself to an at home pedicure during that time of the month. It just helps me feel pretty and put together. I usually do it when my daughter is down for her nap, so I enjoy the quiet, too. I usually pick a fun and bright color to help put me in a good mood.

The last but probably most important item in my period preparedness kit, is my U by Kotex products. I get mine from my local CVS. You can find them in the Feminine Care aisle. I have a preference for the pads and liners over the tampons. I love that the U by Kotex pads aren’t bulky. They are very sleek and fit discretely in my purse or diaper bag.

I like that they are thin but they offer the protection I need. I don’t have to worry about any leaks. I love the wings on the pads. Not to mention, the wrappers are pretty darn cute. I told you I like my nail polish to be bright and fun; the wrappers are that way, too! They have bright colors to help put you in a better mood. At least it does for me!

My period preparedness kit helps give me the confidence I need to get through my period. That and my Netflix. I do love a good binge watching to help me relax. We have to remember to treat ourselves and that we deserve a little pampering every now and then. What are some things you have on hand to help during your period?

I woke up this morning with cramps, so I think I’ll take a trip to the mall and treat myself to something new. It’s so important for women to feel confident about themselves during this time of the month! #client
