My dogs are a very important part of my family. They drive me crazy but I love them all the same. I try my best to keep them happy and healthy. I try to give them healthy food and treats. I even make my own treats for them every once in a while. I decided to make a cute DIY dog treat container to keep all of their healthy treats and snacks in.

Easy DIY dog treat container. You only need 3 supplies!

I wanted to make something that would go with my decor. I have seen dog treat containers in the store before but some of them are just a little busy for my taste.  I wanted something that was a little more elegant. I decided to make my dog treat container out of a plastic candy container that I found. You can really make it out of anything you have laying around. You can reuse old cookie tins, popcorn tins, etc.

I sprayed the container to match my decor in my laundry room. This is where we keep the dog treats. I used Krylon Colormaster Indoor/Outdoor aerosol paint in Aqua. I just let it dry overnight to make sure I didn’t ruin the paint.

I couldn’t find any stencils with a font that I liked. So, I looked at the fonts in PicMonkey and printed out Dog Treats on a piece of paper with my font of choice. I then just free handed drawing the letters and a little paw print on the container. I did this very lightly with a pen. I then went over it with a black Sharpie and filled in the letters and paw print. It didn’t turn out perfect but I think it looks pretty good. I did mess up the D a little bit, but that’s OK.

I can fill the container up with all kinds of healthy treats for my two fur babies. I know they will love it! I was able to get them some Purina Beyond Snacks. I let them try the White Meat Chicken Cutlets and let’s just say my dogs were very happy to put them to the test.

I found the Purina Beyond Snacks at my local Target. They were in the dog treat aisle. I was able to use the Target Cartwheel app to save 10% off the Purina Beyond Snacks. This deal is good from 10/4-10/31 so make sure you add it to your Cartwheel and take advantage of the savings.

Sadie and Obi were so excited when I brought these home. They literally couldn’t wait to try them. They loved the taste and kept coming back for more. I love that they didn’t have a strong odor like some of the other dog treats I’ve given them before.

Purina Beyond Snacks

I like being able to give them healthy treats in between meals and Purina Beyond Snacks is a great way to do that. I try not to give them any treats that come from China. Purina Beyond snacks are crafted in Arkansas in small batches. Chicken is the #1 ingredient and there are no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. I think they are a great healthy, natural snack that I can give to my dogs all year.

Purina Beyond Snacks

As you can tell from the pictures, my dogs loved the Purina Beyond Snacks. I will have to get another bag! I was only able to get pictures of Sadie. Obi was too fast. Once I gave him his treat, he took off to go eat it. I’m going to be keeping some other yummy treats and bones in the new DIY dog treat container that I made, too. Are your dogs excited to try the Purina Beyond Snacks?

I really love the fact that you spray painted this jar. It looks awesome in that shade of blue and I bet your dog loves it too! #client
