Baked Ravioli

July 13, 2015 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

I love making this Baked Ravioli recipe.  It is perfect for a busy weeknight and it only takes a few ingredients to make. It is really simple to make, you know I wouldn’t be making it if it wasn’t simple! This would be a great meal to get the kids involved with. You can use made from scratch ravioli or marinara sauce but I take the easy way and use the store bought kind. It is up to you. You can also use any kind of ravioli you want; cheese, meat, spinach, etc.

This baked ravioli is perfect for a busy weeknight and it only needs 4 ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 25 oz. bag of frozen ravioli ( I use the cheese kind)
  • 1 jar of Marinara sauce ( I used Bertolli)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • shredded or grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Spray bottom and sides of a 9×13 rectangular baking dish with cooking spray.

Spread 3/4 cup of the pasta sauce evenly in baking dish. Place half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce; top with half of the remaining pasta sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers once, starting with ravioli. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes longer or until bubbly and hot in the center. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

This comes out great every time and it is so good. I love the fact that I can just pop it in the oven and forget about it. I usually make this at least once every two weeks; usually when the ravioli is on a B1G1 free sale! You can easily make this meal for less then $2 per serving. I hope your family loves this Baked Ravioli as much as mine does.
