The Easiest Way for Moms to See a Doctor

June 23, 2015 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

“This is a sponsored post with Mums the Word Network and Amwell. All opinions are my own.”

As a mom to a toddler, I know how hectic life can be. As moms, we are so concerned with keeping our families safe and healthy that sometimes we forget about ourselves. I’ve come across the easiest way for moms to see a doctor for themselves and their families. No more looking for a sitter or wrangling up all of the kids when you need some medical advice, just use Amwell from the comfort of your own home.

Easiest Way for Moms to see a doctor

I am a work from home mom so if I want to go to the doctor, I have to get a sitter or somehow take my 17 month old with me. I won’t be able to focus on what the doctor is saying because I will be trying to keep my daughter out of all of the cabinets and doors! Now, I can use my phone or laptop to see a certified doctor while my daughter naps!

I tried out Amwell for a skin problem that I have been having. It was so easy to setup my account and I could choose from several doctors to see right away. They offer family physicians, nutritionists, and psychologists! You just pick the ones that pertain to your problem. I love that you can see all of the different doctors’ credentials, where they went to school, how long they have been practicing, and you can even view an introductory video for each doctor so you can see what their demeanor is like.

Once I chose my doctor, I just hit “Start Visit”, and she popped right up on my screen. She started off by introducing herself and asked about my medical history and any problems I have been having. We discussed my issue and she gave me some treatments that I could try at home. The call only lasted about 5-10 minutes and she was very nice and gave me all the help I needed. She even sent me some follow up notes for me to give to my regular doctor when I go on my next visit. That was it! I got the help I needed without having to leave my home!

I really liked using Amwell for basic doctor advice. It saved me time and gas money. The visits for Amwell are only $49 but you can use code LOVEAMWELL30 to get $30 off, so only $19 for a visit. That is cheaper then my copay! Amwell is also covered by some insurance companies so call yours to see if they will be accepted. I love the convenience that this offers to busy moms like myself. This is by far the easiest way for moms to see a doctor.  Try them out and see if they can help you and make your life, and health, a lot simpler.
