Having a toddler can be one of the most wonderful and aggravating times as a parent. My 17 month old is really learning her limits. She pushes me just far enough and when I am about to lose it, she looks at me with those big brown eyes and looks as adorable as can be. One of the things I am not liking is how messy snack time with toddlers can be. Luckily, I have come across a few items that have really helped me out. The last thing I need is something else to clean!
Snack Cups
I love using the toddler snack cups to put things like crackers or cereal puffs in. My daughter can easily reach in and grab one at a time without making a mess. She doesn’t spill them all over the place and it keeps her busy, especially when we are out shopping.
Suction Bowls
These are genius! You know a parent invented these. I love the suction bowls to use during snack or dinner time when she is in her highchair. My daughter has started flinging her plate or bowl away once she is done eating instead of just saying “no”. Hopefully, these will solve that problem.
Stop Drop Sippy Cup Holder
I love the Stop Drop sippy cup holders. I can’t tell you how many times my toddler has just flung her sippy cup on the floor. She thinks it is a game once I pick it up. So instead, I will leave it there for a few minutes until she realizes it is not a game. But several times once she has thrown it, the cup cracks or breaks and there is milk everywhere. Having the Stop Drop hooked to her highchair will prevent a lot of mess.
Bibs with Food Catchers
I like using the food catcher bibs when she is eating finger foods. It really helps with the mess. I’m not behind her picking up little cereal puffs as she drops them all over the floor.
PouchPal
When I am going to give my daughter one of the pouches of fruit and vegetables, which she loves, I use a PouchPal. This is so cool and has really helped make the messes non-existent. It was invented by a mom who knows my struggles. You simply place the food pouch inside the PouchPal and it lets your toddler eat without squeezing the fruit out and making a complete mess, which has happened to me numerous times.
I love that I can let her feed herself and it gives her more independence. This is really great when we are traveling. I can just hand her the pouch and I know that her car seat won’t be a mess when she is done. The PouchPal even has a little space inside that will fit the cap so you can keep track of it if you need to close up the pouch to save the rest for later. I can’t tell you how many times I have lost that stupid cap. Either Aria hides it or the dogs try to get it. This way no one can get to it except me.
I really love the PouchPal and I think it will help a lot of parents with messy toddlers like mine. I hope some of these items help you prevent a messy snack time. I know that messes happen and sometimes you just have to laugh them off but the less I have to clean up the more time I get to spend playing with her. PouchPal wants to help one of my readers prevent a messy snack time by giving you a chance to win your own PouchPal! This is open to US residents only. Just fill out the form below.

I haven’t had much luck with suction bowls in the past – my son managed to pull it off, believe it or not!! I love the sound of the PouchPal – what a fantastic invention! It is just a shame I am in Australia and can’t enter your giveaway but I will be sure to look around for them. Stopping by from Marvelous Mondays over at Smart Party Planning

Breakfast is a regular mess on windows, floors, and walls 🙁 I’m pretty grateful every morning to have dogs help clean up the worst of the mess, but scrambled eggs, fruit, oatmeal, etc flung in all directions is never fun. These look fantastic to avoid the pouch all over everything mess!!

I wish I’d had one of those sippy-cup-drop things when my daughter was a bit younger. Now she’s old enough where I just say – “go pick it up” lol!

Anything with chocolate seems to always make a mess

The biggest mess my one and a half year old ever made was when she pulled a frozen pizza off the countertop! We didn’t know she could reach the top of the counter yet, but we found out that day! She ate half the pepperoni and some of the frozen cheese!
I love the convenience of the pouches, but they sure can be messy if I try to let her hold one by herself!

She’s a bit messy when spoon feeding herself applesauce.

It was the fish sauce bowl that my toddler spilled over the table
