5 Tips to Help Lose the Baby Weight

I remember that feeling when I was 9 months pregnant. I had gained 40 lbs, I looked down at my HUGE belly and thought, “How am I ever going to get my body back?” The truth is that you may not get it back exactly like it was but you can get pretty darn close. We are not celebrities and don’t have the time to workout all day like they can so what are normal people to do? I have 5 tips to help lose the baby weight that worked for me. I hope they can help you too.

Tips to Help Lose the Baby Weight

1) Breastfeeding

This is what really helped me to lose my baby weight. I can not say this enough, if you want to lose the wait quickly try breastfeeding! You will burn 500 calories per day just from producing milk! This is good for both you and your baby. I was only able to nurse for 3 months due to lack of milk production but during those first 3 months, I had lost almost 25 lbs. For me, the weight really did start to melt off and I believe it was due to the fact that I was breastfeeding.

2) Exercise with Baby

Lets face it, you are most likely not going to have time to go to the gym and do a full workout. I love the fact that there are so many websites and DVDs that have exercises you can do at home and you can do them with your baby. This not only helps you get active but lets you bond with your little one as well. They usually like it and think it is so much fun. Yoga and Pilates are great for this!

3) Daily Walks

My daughter was born in Jan. so by the time she was a couple months old, the weather started to warm up. This was perfect for going for a walk everyday. I would load her up in the stroller and we would go for a walk together every morning. It was a great way to start our day. She got some fresh air and was visually stimulated, while I got to be active without over doing it. It was something that was easy to do and fit in to my routine. If you work, you can go for walks in the evening, too.

4) Stop Drinking Sugary Drinks

I admit it, I am a soda addict. I know that this is common sense if you want to lose weight but it was very hard for me to give up my Cokes. I didn’t quit cold turkey. I will have one every once in a while but for the most part, I now drink water. This is so much better for you, especially if you are nursing. Drinking more water helps you produce milk. Once I stopped drinking the sodas, I noticed the weight come off a lot quicker and I lost those last 5 pounds.

5) Moderation

I don’t diet, I usually eat what I want but in moderation. You have to be careful with this when you are nursing. You want to cut back on what you eat to help lose weight but you still need to eat enough calories to produce milk for your baby. So talk to your doctor about how many calories you should be consuming and don’t consume any less then that!

mealenders

One way that can help you with moderation is by using MealEnders. MealEnders helps with weight management and mastering portion control. You know when you are finished eating dinner but you think you might want seconds or even get dessert? That is when you want to use a MealEnder. I was sent a few packages to try out.

MealEnders

MealEnders are like little candies that come in four yummy flavors: Citrus, Cinnamon, Mocha, and Chocolate Mint (my favorite). The whole purpose of the MealEnders is to give your brain time to catch up with your stomach to let it know that you are full. That takes around 20 min. which is how long a MealEnder will usually last. I had one after dinner when I was craving something sweet. I had the chocolate mint and it had a delicious chocolate coating and it melted away to the mint. It did have a tingling sensation but it satisfied my sweet tooth and after I had finished it, I didn’t really want anything else to eat.

They will not help you lose weight but this is a great way to help with portion control if that is something that you struggle with. They are only 15 calories per piece. You can check out the website for more information about how MealEnders actually work and the science behind them. You can use the code TFG20 to get 20% off of your order.

MealEnders is being kind enough to offer one of my readers the chance to win 4 pouches of MealEnders to try out for themselves. This is over a $50 value! This is open to US residents only. Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below.
