Space Saving Baby Gear for Small Homes

April 21, 2015 by hewella1 Leave a Comment

space saving baby gear

Until you have a baby, you have absolutely no idea how much stuff they need! Who knew that someone so tiny could take up so much space?! I live in a small home so I was a bit overwhelmed about where I was going to put everything that I was going to need for my little bundle of joy ( not to mention how I was going to pay for it all). There are so many products out there now that make finding room for baby gear that much easier. I have made a list of some space saving baby gear that I have found and some that I have personally used to help save space and clear up the clutter. These are perfect for small homes and apartments.

Baby Jogger - 'City Mini' Stroller Purple/ Gray

I use my stroller a lot! I didn’t buy a very expensive stroller because I was trying to save money but I wish I had invested in this stroller. I love the Baby Jogger City Mini because it is so lightweight and compact. It folds up so small that you can just store it in your coat closet or by the door. Plus, it can turn into a travel system! This is a great stroller to look into if you live in the city or you travel a lot and need something portable.

Generic - Blooming Bath Floral Baby Bath Blue

I have personally used the Blooming Bath and I loved it. We had the yellow color and it fit perfectly into the sink and was so soft and comfortable for my baby. You can wash it in the washing machine and the dryer and it is as good as new. You can fold it up or just leave it flat to slide under a bed or crib when not in use.

Skip Hop - Splash Baby Bottle Drying Rack by Skip Hop

I love this bottle drying rack from Skip Hop. I used the Boon Grass drying rack and just found that the ones that lay flat take up most of my precious counter space. I like that this one is circular and all the bottles go at the top and you can put things like nipples, utensils, pacifiers, etc. on the bottom. Best of all it has a place to store the bottle brush! Mine just sat on the sink and I would always knock it over.

Boon - Infant Boon Bath 'Scoop Drain' Toy Storage

Bath toys are a necessity for keeping my daughter happy in the tub. I found that they end up all over my bathroom so I need to get something like this! This attaches to the tub wall. I think this is so cute and all of the water drains out so all you have to do is scoop up all the toys! It even has a shelf to hold shampoo and soap bottles! They also have a whale design if you don’t like the ladybug.

Fisher-Price - Luv U Zoo Space Saver Swing & Seat

My baby had colic so a swing was a must have in my house. It was one of the only things that would help put her to sleep. She had to constantly be moving or she would wake up. The only problem with the swing was that it was big and bulky and almost took up our whole play space. I like this swing from Fisher Price. It is compact and gets the job done without taking over the whole room. The seat also vibrates to help soothe your baby.

I have this high chair in a jungle print and I love it! It fits securely right onto a chair already at the table so we are not having to fold and unfold a high chair every time I need to feed her. The cover is machine washable and the tray top comes off and you can wash it in the dishwasher! I have not complaints and I highly recommend this especially for small spaces. It is available in some cute different prints.

This is a must have to save space for diapers and wipes. I have this right above my changing table because my changing table is full of towels, wash clothes, toiletries, and so much more because I have nowhere else to store those things. I keep all my diapers in the Bobee diaper and wipe dispenser. It keeps everything neat and organized and I don’t have to bend down every time to get a diaper. This is perfect if you are using the top of a dresser as your changing table and have nowhere to store your diapers. You can even customize it with cute stickers to match your nursery’s decor. I actually wrote a review that you can read for more info.
