Grow Beautiful Plants with Plantopia Hanging Baskets #MothersDay #Giveaway

April 23, 2015 by hewella1 30 Comments

Disclosure: “I received product for review purposes only. All opinions are my own.”

I have gotten pretty good at growing vegetables in my little garden but I am a bit intimidated when it comes to flowers. I just don’t know what kind to plant or where to plant them. I love flowers and am impressed by people that have beautiful gardens but I just don’t have the knack for them…yet. I decided I would start small and plant some flowers in a hanging basket. I saw the Plantopia Hanging Baskets and I thought, “I can do this.”

The Plantopia Hanging Baskets are made from 100% recycled plastics and they are UV treated so you can use them year after year. They have openings on the sides so that you can plant flowers on the sides as well as the tops of the baskets for a full and beautiful affect. It also gives the plants better drainage then regular hanging baskets to help your plants grow large and healthy.

I decided to try out the 14″ Plantopia hanging basket to plant some pretty petunias I found at Lowe’s. I decided that I would plant some white flowers on the sides and purple on the top so that when they grow, it will have a two tone affect. I popped all of the side panels out and they were really easy to remove. I then filled the planter with soil up to the bottoms of the openings and put in all of the white petunias. Then I put the side panels back in around the base of the flowers to hold them in place.

After that, I just filled it up with soil and planted the purple petunias on top. The Plantopia hanging basket even came with a chain to hang the basket and it was very easy to attach. I decided to hang it outside of my sun room and it turned out really pretty. I will have to post some update photos later in the season so you can see how it is growing. I am very pleased with the Plantopia hanging basket. I think this would make a great Mother’s Day gift. You can give your Mom a basket that is already planted or you can use it as a project for the two of you to do together. This is a gift that will last a long time.

The Plantopia hanging baskets come in a variety of colors and sizes so you can find one that will match your home. I love that they are made in the USA and you can use them to plant herbs or vegetables if you don’t want to use flowers. They are very affordable, especially since they can be used over and over again. I am very happy with my basket and I think that you will be too.

Plantopia is being kind enough to offer one of my readers 2 14″ Plantopia hanging baskets! You can give one to Mom and keep one for yourself, or just give them both to Mom :). This is open to US residents only. Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below.
