This winter has been hard on my 2 pooches. It seems like they have been cooped up in the house with a crawling toddler for far too long. I know they are ready for Spring so they can get out and run around all day. One good thing about this month is that they get to try out a new BarkBox to keep them busy for now. They got to try out the BarkBox from January so it was a winter themed box. They were both so excited when it arrived!
For those of you that haven’t heard of BarkBox, it is a monthly subscription box full of dog goodies. You choose the size of your dog and which plan you would like: 1, 3, 6, or 12 month. The boxes arrive on the 15th of every month so it gives you and your dogs something fun to look forward to. My box included treats and toys for a medium sized dog. I have a medium and a small size dog so I figured they could share. My box included:
- Puppy Love Wild Alaskan Salmon Jerky Treat
- R2P Pet Monster
- Etta Says Deer Chews
- Dex and Penny Squeaky Icicle
- Complete Natural Nutrition Off- Leash Stix
My dogs loved the treats! They pretty much devoured them once they got a hold of them. I gave Sadie the Deer Chew since there was only one and it was gone in under 3 minutes. They both had one of the Off-Leash Stix and they loved them as well. I liked that the treats were made of turkey and pumpkin and that they didn’t have a bad smell like some of the treats they have had before.
The best part of the box was the toys. Sadie seemed to like the Icicle toy. She mostly carried it around instead of actually playing with it and it was a bit too big for Obi to get but he did try his hardest. The favorite was the Pet Monster. They played with it for a long time. Even Obi dragged it around the house. It did only last the first day before Sadie ripped it open and got the squeaker out of it. They still play with it all the time though.
The BarkBox was a hit in our house. I think it is a fun idea for all pet parents. I love getting packages in the mail and so do my dogs :). You can check out BarkBox for more information and to check out what has been in past boxes. My dogs loved it and I know yours will too.
