Febreze #Noseblind Test & $60 AMEX Giveaway

You may have seen the new Febreze commercials on TV that introduce you to being Noseblind. What is Noseblind? It is a real thing that happens to the olfactory system. Basically, you get used to the odors in your home and car and you can’t really smell them anymore. But your guests can. That’s not good when you host a party or have friends over. I decided to host a movie night to try out the Noseblind theory for myself.

I had a few friends over for a movie night complete with popcorn. We each took a survey once they got here about what was the predominant smell and how strong it was. I had just finished dinner so that was the predominant smell…sausage and potatoes, yum! We then popped some popcorn and took another survey, of course the strong smell was the popcorn. Then we watched The Amazing Spiderman and ate all of that yummy popcorn.

After the movie we took another survey and basically didn’t smell the popcorn anymore. I didn’t smell anything out of the ordinary but they smelled dog and baby smell. I have gotten noseblind to these smells! They said it wasn’t too strong but it was noticeable. Then we put the Febreze products to the test. We used the Febreze Fabric Refresher on the couch and chair, we sprayed the room with Febreze Air Effects, and lit the Febreze Candle. We gave it a few minutes and took the final survey and agreed the room smelled much better. Like a fresh meadow. I noticed after they left that there weren’t any remnants of the popcorn or dinner smell. The Febreze got rid of the odors and didn’t just mask them with a nice smell.

I learned a lot from taking part in the Febreze Noseblind test. One of the things is that I need to use Febreze more often! With a baby and 2 dogs I’m sure my house can get a little smelly but I just don’t notice the smells as much anymore. I don’t want to have a smelly home and turn off my guests so I will make sure to use Febreze products, especially the Fabric Refresher on my couch and beds. I love the scents of Febreze, there is something for every season.
