Del Sol Review & Giveaway

December 28, 2012 by hewella1 54 Comments

I recently came across this really cool website called Del Sol. They sell all kinds of amazing products like tees, jewelry, nail polish, sunglasses, sandals, and more. The neat part is that all the products change color in the sun! How cool is that?! These products would be great for beach trips or just to make your summers more fun.

The secret behind Del Sol’s products is the Spectrachrome Technology. Spectrachrome crystals reveal their hidden colors when exposed to sunlight. They were actually invented by NASA for the space program but now you can wear them on your clothes. I was sent a really cute Feather Flourish scoop tee and a pair of hollow circle earrings to review.

Without Sun

Since it is December, it’s a little too cold to actually wear the tee but we had some pretty sunny days recently so I could try out the color changing technology for myself. I laid the shirt out in the sun and it instantly started changing color. The background swirl design started turning a darker blue. I love the colors on the shirt, they are so pretty. I’m a huge fan of teals and blues. Once I brought the shirt back in, the color started fading. The same thing happened with the earrings. They start out as a pale blue and then a few seconds in the sun, they turned a pretty dark blue.

I love the quality of the products too. The shirt is form fitting but not tight; it hugs your figure. All of Del Sol’s products are guaranteed to change colors in the sun for the life of the product. You can wash and dry them as often as you want without having to worry about ruining the product. Just be sure to follow the instructions on the tag.

Bottom line, I am very pleased with Del Sol products. I can’t wait to wear them this summer. They carry items for men, women, and children. Kids would get a kick out of some color changing clothes. They even have Disney apparel. Plus when you sign up for their emails, you get 10% off your purchase.

Now one of my readers will get the chance to win their very own Del Sol t-shirt! You get to choose which one you win. Isn’t that great? All you have to do is fill out the form below. This is open to US only and no PO Boxes please. Good Luck!

Winner: Nicole A.

Disclosure: I received products for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
