Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa Review & Giveaway

I love chips and dip. It is one of my favorite snack foods. I’m always on the lookout for new salsa and dip flavors to try. I was so excited when I got to try a variety pack of Mrs. Renfro’s salsa!

Mrs. Renfro’s has so many sauces and salsas available and even better, they are affordable! They are usually priced around $3.50 a jar. They offer everything from BBQ sauce to relish to salsas. All of the salsas are gluten free and fat free. They are only made with natural ingredients. To help add a little something new to your kitchen, they even offer a recipe right on the jar label for you to try. I picked 4 varieties to try: Peach salsa, Garlic salsa, Nacho cheese sauce, and BBQ sauce.

I tried the BBQ sauce first. I decided to make crockpot bbq chicken for dinner one night. It is one of my favorite things to make because it is so easy :). When I poured in the bbq sauce it smelled sooo good! But I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the sauce when it came to  the taste. I felt that it was a bit bland and didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. I had to keep adding more and more to the chicken on my plate because it wasn’t very flavorful. What I did taste was good but I just feel like it was missing something and it wasn’t as thick as my usual bbq sauce.

The next thing I tried was the Nacho Cheese Sauce. I heated it up in the microwave for about 45 seconds to get it good and warm. The spice was medium which is good for me because I’m a wimp and can’t handle spicy things. This sauce was really good. It had a bit of a tangy taste to it. You could see the chunks of peppers in it and it was really good and thick for dipping. This was my favorite by far.

I let my boyfriend try the Peach and Garlic salsas because he likes that kind of stuff. He first tried the Peach Salsa. This was his favorite. He said it was really good and had a great flavor. It wasn’t very spicy and had a hint of peach flavor. It wasn’t over powering at all. He said the Garlic salsa was just ok. It did have a garlic flavor which he loves and it also had a “kick” to it.
