MommyBear Media: Letters to Juliet Review

July 17, 2012 by hewella1 1 Comment

Mommy Bear Media is a great new site that offers family friendly movies and TV shows. They offer a variety of genres that are rated G, PG, and PG-13, so you won’t have to worry about kids seeing something you aren’t comfortable with. Their prices are very affordable and they offer free shipping on all orders. They carry New Releases as well as the classics so there is something for everyone.

I got to choose a movie to review and I went with Letters to Juliet. It looked like a really cute movie and I was in need of a good chick flick. Here is a little synopsis of the movie:

In Verona, Italy – the beautiful city where Romeo first met Juliet – there is a place where the heartbroken leave notes asking Juliet for her help. It’s there that aspiring writer Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) finds a 50-year-old letter that will change her life forever. As she sets off on a romantic journey of the heart with the letter’s author, Claire (Vanessa Redgrave), now a grandmother, and her handsome grandson (Christopher Egan), all three will discover that sometimes the greatest love story ever told is your own.

I liked this movie. I thought it was really sweet and I thought it had a great message that reminded me not to take my relationships for granted because you never know what the future might hold and that you should always take advantage of second chances. This is definitely a chick flick, I didn’t make my boyfriend watch it. I did cry a couple of times during the movie, I guess I’m getting soft the older I get :).

The cast was great, I love Amanda Seyfried. The movie was about an hour and a half long, so it didn’t get boring and drag on. I loved the scenery, it really made me want to go to Italy and have some wine and lasagna! I think this movie would be great for a date night or a girl’s night in. I give this movie four out of five stars.
