Teaching kids about volunteering is something that can be fun. It’s great to let them know how important it is to help others in the world and in their own community. April is National Volunteer Month so now is a great time to get involved with a cause that is important to you and your family.
If you need a starting off point, you may want to visit your local Chuck E. Cheese’s for a fun day out with the kids. They are holding a donation drive for the nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters. All you have to do is mention that you would like to donate at the register and you can donate $1, $5, or any amount that you would like. You then get to pin up your or your child’s name to the wall to show that you made a donation for such a good cause.
