I am so excited about our upcoming trip to Disney World. It is too far away! I found these fun countdown to Disney ideas that can really help start the magical experience before you even get to the parks.
This is great if you have already told the kids you are going and don’t want to have to hear ” How many more days?” every single morning!

I love that these countdown to Disney ideas are easy to make. You can do them as a family project or surprise the kids with the countdown when you tell them that you will be taking a trip.
If you aren’t very crafty or don’t have the time to sit and make one of these, I have included some links to where you can buy them if you would rather have that option.

Disney Countdown Paper Chains: These would be so cute for the kids to help make. You can get the template for the chains and make Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto chains.
Tear-off Calendar: These 60 day tear-off calendars are perfect for your desk or the kitchen counter. They have 2 different Disney themed ones to choose from.
Monorail Countdown: If you love riding the Monorail at Disney World, this is a really cute countdown idea. She even offers a free printable to help get you started.
Clothespin Calendar: I love this calendar. You remove one of the clothespins for each day. I like the fact that it can be used over and over again for each Disney trip.
Countdown Blocks: These blocks are great to put on the mantle and can add some fun magic to your decor. They are reversible from weeks to days so you can start the countdown way in advance. There are several different designs to choose from.
Personalized Countdown Plaque: I think this plaque is so cute for a child’s room. They can write in the days left on the chalkboard. You can get each child their own or put everyone’s name on one.
Countdown Sign: This is another version of the chalk countdown sign. I like that this one has a little holder for the chalk and comes in different designs.
Picture Frame Printables: This is probably what I will be using. I like that you can find a cheap picture frame from the dollar store and purchase a cute countdown printable to put in the frame. Then just use a dry erase marker to write on the frame and easily erase it the next day. You can find some cute Disney printables here and here.
Wall Calendars: You can get a simple countdown wall calendar to put in your home or in your child’s room. You can actually download a couple of free ones. They have Disney Princess and Toy Story.
Balloon Countdown: If you have an Up fan, you will like this one. I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was a cute idea. Just create the house on the poster board and place numbered balloons around it. Let the kids pop one every day.
Paper Chain Princesses: I will do this for my daughter’s room. You can do Belle, Snow White, Elsa, Tinkerbell, and Ariel. You can see pictures of them here. You can do any princess, these are just ones that you can see put together.
I just love these countdown to Disney ideas and they are getting me even more excited about our trip. You can do these for any Disney trip or cruise that you may be taking.
Let us know if you do a fun countdown in the comments.
