Crock pot Meatballs Recipe. Only 3 Ingredients!!

crockpot meatballs

I love to cook but most of the time I just don’t have the time to cook from scratch and I need something quick. I found this recipe on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for a busy weeknight. I love this Crock pot Meatballs recipe because you only need 3 ingredients and you probably already have them in your fridge. These were so good and I made them for dinner and served them over a bed of rice. These would be great for parties and tailgating as well. Here is the super quick and easy recipe:

1 32 oz. bag of frozen meatballs ( I used homestyle)

1 jar of grape jelly

1 bottle of BBQ sauce ( I used Sweet Baby Ray’s)

Add all the ingredients in the crock pot and stir to coat the meatballs. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

You really can’t get much easier then that!

Items Couponers Always Buy for Less Then 50 Cents

Once you start couponing and becoming pretty good at it, you will notice that there are always items that you can get for free or really cheap over and over again. You will be really surprised at the things you actually no longer really pay for. I can’t remember the last time I actually paid for a tube of toothpaste. There are usually always sales at the drugstores every couple of weeks plus high value coupons to match. I always stock up on stuff like this because the shelf life is very long and you don’t really have to worry about them going bad.

The places I usually get “free” stuff are the drugstores. It is the same story, just match the coupons that are available to the sales that the stores are running and you will pay very little out of pocket. Plus make sure to roll your ECB’s or Register Rewards or whatever your particular store calls them and you usually only end up paying the tax. For those of you that don’t know what “rolling” means here is an example:

CVS has toothpaste on sale for $2.99 and it is printing a $2.00 ECB for you to use later. I already have a $1.99 ECB from my last visit to use plus a $1.00 coupon from the paper to use on the toothpaste.

Buy the toothpaste for $2.99

Use the $1.00 coupon

Total: $1.99

Pay with a my $1.99 ECB

Total: only have to pay for the tax which will vary from state to state probably around 5¢!

Plus, you will get a $2.00 ECB to use on next week’s shopping trip. Just keep spending the ECB’s to pay for items that will give you more ECB’s and pretty soon you will be paying very little out of pocket.

I also want to make you aware of the great deals you can get at The Dollar Tree. Everything there is $1.00 plus you can use coupons! They have name brands there too so this is another great source for free items. So, now that you know how to “roll” your rewards what are the items that you should only pay less then 50 cents for? I say that most of them are toiletries because they last a long time so you will use them up before they expire and there always seem to be great coupons for them.  This is my personal list of items I never pay more then 50 cents for and sometimes nothing at all:

  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Toothpaste
  • Hair Elastics
  • Razors
  • Deodorant
  • Bodywash or Soap
  • Hand soap
  • Cosmetics
  • Makeup Remover or Cleansing Cloths
  • Dish soap
  • Cleaning Supplies ( Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, etc.)
  • Air Fresheners
  • Candles
  • Toothbrush
  • Floss
  • Mouthwash
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Candy
  •  Baby Wipes (per single pack)
  • Paper Towels (per roll)
  • Shave gel

The list can go on and on depending on the couponer but these are the things that I personally find it very easy to get for less then 50 cents. If you just stock up when you can get them for a great price then you will never run out and have to pay full price. If you need help getting started you can check out my Couponing 101 section to get some ideas. Now that you can see what you will be able to get for practically no money at all I hope you are very excited to start couponing or just get back in the game. What are some great things you’ve been able to get really cheap by using coupons?

Clean up the Clutter with Minnie Deluxe Book & Toy Organizer

“I received product for review purposes only. All opinions are my own.”

If you have kids then you know that the majority of your day is spent picking things up off the floor. As a new parent I have had to come to terms that my house will no longer be clean the majority of the time. But when I wake up and see all the toys on the floor my “clutter anxiety” comes back to haunt me. I can’t stand the clutter! Luckily, I have found a product from Delta Children that helps me relax a little, the Minnie Deluxe Book & Toy Organizer.

My little girl is 1 and she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so I knew that the Minnie toy organizer would be a great fit. The organizer came in a flat box and was fairly easy to put together. Aria liked helping her dad take everything out of the box and then she let him put it together. The only thing you need to put it together is a screw driver and it was very easy to assemble, it only took about 15 minutes to get everything ready. It comes with a top fabric liner to hold books, 3 small fabric boxes, and 2 large fabric boxes. It is made of engineered wood, solid wood, and fabric.

I think it turned out really cute. I will say that it is smaller then I thought it would be but it still gets the job done. It is very easy for my daughter to pull up and reach everything that she wants to get out, which usually is everything at one time :) . I use the book organizer to hold all of her stuffed animals since she already has a bookcase in her nursery. I put her smaller toys in the small bins along with some soft books and then her larger toys on the bottom.

Before and After

Before and After

It holds quite a bit and I think it makes the room more fun. This kid has a lot of toys so we will probably have to invest in something larger as she gets older but for now it works for our needs really well. I like that it isn’t too babyish and it can be used for the next few years to store things in her room. I mean who doesn’t love Minnie Mouse right? I love that the play room is a lot more tidy. Now I just have to get her to put her toys away on her own and I will be golden.

If you think your child would like the Minnie Deluxe Book & Toy Organizer, you can purchase it from Amazon for $49.99. It is recommended for ages 3-6 but it works great for our little toddler right now. It is cute, sturdy, and helps keep the clutter away!

Get Stylish and Hilarious Baby Clothes at Kiddie Co.

* I received product to facilitate this review. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

I have found a new site full of adorable onesies and tees for babies! Kiddie Co. is full of baby clothes that are custom made and not to mention hilarious! I love when my daughter has on a funny shirt and can make me or someone else smile. It can make her little personality shine through even more.

Kiddie Co. has onesies from sizes 0-18 months and T-shirts from sizes 12 months- 4T. You can choose what color you want the onsie or tee to be as well as the print color so it can be custom made for your little one. Everything is $14.99 which is a pretty decent price. The quality is really great. I have washed the items I was sent for review and they held up great in the wash. They have  sparkly  writing on them and the sparkles didn’t get on any of the other clothes!

poopis coming

They have a lot to choose from on the site: Holiday, Funny, Mommy, Aunt, Grandparent themes and the list goes on. I saw one that instantly caught my eye: “Poop is Coming” onsie. My fiancé and I are huge Game of Throne fans and that is actually where we got Aria’s name from so this was perfect. I got her a size 18 months and it fits great. she actually has a little room to grow. I didn’t want the white color because I knew it would stain easily so I ordered the grey with black glitter print. I think it came out looking really well.

The other item we received was the “Future Gaming Buddy” T-shirt. Aria is all about pushing buttons and messing with the remotes and her Dad loves playing his PS4 so this is inevitable. I did get it in the purple glitter to make it more girly. this is also an 18 month size and fits great. The onsies and tees are a little thin so they will be great in the summer but it is a little too cold to wear them now.

I do wish that Kiddie Co. had long sleeve onsies and little hoodies to choose from so you could wear some of these prints in the cooler months. Also, I would like to have the option to put any print on the T-shirts. Aria is outgrowing the largest size in the onsies and there are only 8 prints to choose from in the T-shirts. All of the really funny ones are on the onsies.

Overall, I am pleased with my order from Kiddie Co. and would order from them again. I think you could find some unique baby shower gifts on the site. Check them out and see if there is something your little one would love.

How to Save Money on Diapers

Did you know that in your baby’s first year you will change on average over 3,000 diapers! That is a lot of dirty diapers! Not to mention a lot of money that is being spent as well. This is one of the reasons people choose to use cloth diapers but I personally don’t have the time or patience to deal with cloth diapers. If you do then more power to you but that is just not what works in my house. During my daughter’s first year, I have gotten pretty good at finding some great diaper deals and I would like to share my tips on how to save money on diapers.

An oldie but goodie. Coupons can really help save money especially when paired with a sale. They are usually around $2-$3 off each pack. You can find coupons in the newspaper,, or your favorite brand’s website. A few are:

If you can’t find coupons for your favorite brand, you can call or email the company and see if they can tell you where to find some. They might even send you some in the mail!

Store Deals

My favorite stores to shop for diapers are Target and CVS. They usually have the best sales!

TARGET: When you sign up for a Target Baby Registry, you will usually receive Target baby store coupon booklets every few months and there are some great diaper coupons in there. You can also check out the Target website for more Target store coupons and sign up for their mobile coupons you will receive through text. To sign up for the Target baby mobile coupons text BABY4 to 827438. Also make sure to download the Target Cartwheel app to your smartphone. You can get this through iTunes or Google Play and it is absolutely free. They offer a percentage off of select items and they change routinely. They even have a Baby section for money off diapers, wipes, baby food, and much more. Plus, if you use your Target Redcard to pay then you will save an extra 5% off your purchase. You can sign up to get one of these at the register or customer service.

At Target you can use a manufacturer coupon, Target store coupon, mobile coupon, and a Target Cartwheel offer all on one item! So you can really stack your savings. Not to mention they will have Target Gift card offers on diaper purchases as well. Just the other week they offered a $10 Target gift card when you purchased two boxes of select diapers. When you combine the coupons and gift card offers you can really get some great deals on diapers. You just have to check the weekly ad every week to see what they are offering.

CVS: I love shopping at CVS for diapers because I usually have some ECBs that I can always roll over. They will also offer an ECB deal on brand name diapers too. They usually have spend $30 on select diapers and get $5 ECBs back to use on your next purchase. Make sure you sign up for the CVS emails to get money saving coupons too. I usually get $5 off a $15 purchase coupon every week and I just send it to my card to use on my next visit. Keep in mind that you can use a manufacturer coupon, a CVS store coupon, and a money off total purchase coupon all together. Use all of these in addition to the ECB deals and the ECBs you might already have from previous visits and you can get super cheap or even free diapers! One time I bought 4 packs of Huggies diapers and only paid $1.07 out of pocket. Can’t beat that!

Amazon Mom

If you don’t want to keep up with weekly sales and coupons, Amazon Mom might be the best option for you. It’s not just for Moms. Dads and other caregivers can use it too. Amazon Mom is a subscription service that costs $99 per year but you can try it out for free for 30 days to see if it is for you. With Amazon Mom you get:

  • 20% off diaper subscriptions ( you can cancel at anytime)
  • Free 2-day shipping
  • Unlimited Music and Video Streaming
  • 15% baby registry discount
  • Member exclusive coupons

You can “clip” coupons to use in conjunction with your 20% discount on diapers. Plus get the free shipping so you don’t even have to leave the house. They offer great prices not only on diapers but wipes and all kinds of baby products. Amazon does offer some of the cheapest diaper prices online so this might be the easiest way to save on diapers and wipes for your family.

Reward Programs

If you buy Pampers or Huggies diapers or wipes, make sure you sign up for their reward programs:

Pampers Gifts To Grow  (you’ll receive 100 points when you sign up)

Huggies Rewards

Each package of diapers and wipes comes with a code inside. Just enter the codes on the website to earn points. You can redeem the points for free diapers, magazines, photo gifts, gift cards, and much more. Tjis is a very easy way to get free stuff for things you buy anyway. If you have friends with babies that aren’t using their codes, ask if they will give them to you. You will have your rewards in no time.

You know I love entering blog giveaways. I have actually won free diapers before. I’ve won actual packages sent to my home and coupons for free packs of diapers. They are usually sponsored by Huggies, Pampers, or Luvs. If you want to enter just Google “diaper giveaways”, “Huggies giveaways”, etc. They aren’t offered all the time and you are not guaranteed to win but it is always worth a try. It never takes me more then a minute to enter each one but be sure to read the directions and do the required entries.

Stock Up

By watching sales and coupons, I’ve learned what a good stock up price is. If you do it by cost per diaper, it will vary by sizes because you get more Newborn diapers per pack then you will a size 3. I go by cost per pack. If I can get a pack of diapers for under $3.50 that is a stock up price for me. If it is a box of diapers I try to shoot for under $13. This will vary by region and what stores you have available but this is what I strive for.

If you stock up on too much of one size and your baby out grows them, most stores will let you exchange for another size even without a receipt. I had to do this a couple of times. My tip is to not buy a whole lot of newborn sizes. My baby has stayed in size 3 the longest. Just keep an eye on how fast your baby is growing and use your best guess on what size to stock up on.

Brand Loyalty

I personally don’t care what brand of diapers my baby wears. We have tried all kinds to see what works best and to make sure she didn’t have a reaction to any of them. I found that in her first 6 months, we had to use brand names a lot or they would leak, especially at night. Then we saw that we could use a cheaper brand like Luvs or store brand diapers during the day but we had to use a higher quality diaper like Huggies at night. This has helped us save because we are using more of the less expensive diapers overall. This will depend on your baby and what you feel comfortable using.

These are my best tips for how to save money on diapers. I hope they help you and your family. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment below. If you are currently expecting, do NOT forget to register for diapers from size Newborn-a size 3. You will be so glad you did!

Copycat Chick-fil-a Chicken Salad Recipe

copycat Chic-fil-a Chicken Salad

I love Chick-fil-a! I think I am borderline addicted. I usually order the regular chicken sandwich but during the summer, I want something light and fresh so I will get the chicken salad sandwich. It is so good but it can get rather expensive. So I scoured the internet and found a recipe that is very very close to the real thing. I really can’t tell the difference and there are only a few ingredients. This is going to save me a fortune! I plan on making this whenever I have some cooked chicken that needs to be used up so it won’t go to waste. Try out the copycat Chick-fil-a Chicken Salad recipe below and see what you think.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup diced celery
  • 1 minced hard boiled egg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1 cup of mayonnaise
  1. Cut the cooked chicken into tiny pieces and place in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
  3. If you want to make a sandwich like I did below. Butter one side of each piece of bread and grill until lightly toasted. Add chicken salad and a piece of lettuce and enjoy!

chicken salad sandwich

The first time I had the chicken salad, I made the sandwich above and it was so yummy! The next time I had it, I used Saltine crackers to scoop up the salad and just ate it like that. Either way was delicious. Try it for yourself, you will not regret it. I have a feeling I will be making a lot of this in the summer.
